Missing hiker shared haunting final message before he vanished into thin air
A missing hiker shared a haunting final message just moments before he vanished into thin air after leaving his car and footprints behind.
Austin Madsen, 32, originally from Ohio, US, has not been in contact with his family since January 29 after he was hiking at Mount Dutton in Kanab, Utah.
The dad-of-two's last contact with his family and friends was a chilling video message of the mountain which he sent to a friend.
Austin can be heard saying: "The ocean's coming back, brother."
His wife Emily Masden shared the video on Facebook and posted it to a local group as she revealed it was the "last place we heard from him."

She begged for the public's help to try and find her missing husband.

The dad-of-two was hiking Mount Dutton in Kanab, Utah (Facebook/emily.barwick.9)His concerned wife told 2 KTVU: "It’s not common for him to go this long without any sort of communication.
"'I talked to him via FaceTime and he was snowshoeing and looked like he was having fun, but then he was looking for the truck... I haven’t heard from him since."
He was last seen wearing a brown fuzzy hat, black sunglasses, and a puffer jacket.
After being informed of the dad's disappearance Mapleton Police Department pinged Madsen's mobile phone and located the device in Garfield County, south of Monroe Mountain.
However, this information has left Emily baffled as she does not believe her husband has ever been to Mount Dutton before.

They also discovered a trail of footprints, which are believed to have been left by the hiker.

Temperatures in the Mount Dutton area were a chilling-21C.
Garfield County Sheriff's Office said: "'The rough terrain and deep snow complicated travel throughout the area."
Rescue crews from Piute, Iron, and Sevier counties are assisting Garfield County Sheriff's Office in their bid to find the missing 32-year-old.
Police confirmed their search for the missing hiker is continuing.
