Will.i.am announced his collaboration with Britney on Monday, hinting that the song was scheduled to have been released on Tuesday.

Fans were instead left disappointed when they realised they would have to wait until the end of the week to hear the track.

Mind Your Business will be the first song from the duo since they last collaborated back in 2012 with their smash single Scream & Shout. The dance-pop track sold more than three million copies in America alone and hit number one in almost 30 charts around the world.

The song sparked a surprising legal backlash, however, when N Dubz icon Tulisa Contostavlos sensationally claimed she wrote the hit song for her 2012 album The Female Boss.

She launched a court case against Will.i.am, successfully suing the rapper over the track.

At the time of the case, Will admitted: "Tulisa wrote to that song before I did – this is the truth. But the producers of the beat … didn't want her to have it."

After winning the case in 2018, Tulisa was then added as a co-writer of the song.

Britney’s most recent solo releases came in 2020 when her 2016 album Glory was re-released to include a number of additional tracks - including the fan favourite song Mood Ring.

Last year, the One More Time singer was also featured on a collaborative single titled Hold Me Closer with Sir Elton John.
