Legendary rapper Tupac Shakur recently became one of the latest celebrities to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He became the 2,758th star on Hollywood Boulevard.

The late musician, who died at the age of 25 in September 1996, was recognised on the iconic strip 26 years after he was murdered in Las Vegas.

The rapper was shot in a car in Sin City while a white Cadillac Sedan pulled up on the passenger side of Tupac's car and rapidly fired into the car.

He was shot four times and taken hospital where he was put on life support. Sadly, he died seven days later from internal bleeding with the official cause of death later recorded as respiratory failure and cardiopulmonary arrest associated with gunshot wounds.

Despite no arrests in the case to date, the Las Vegas Metro PD were searching a home in Henderson, Nevada, in connection with the case. Little information was provided about the operation, but police revealed it was "part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation".

In the years that have followed his untimely death, there have been a wide range of outrageous conspiracy theories surrounding the star. Here, we take a look at some of the wildest speculation.

Faked his own death

Friend of the late rapper, Too Short, claimed in 2018 that his pal had faked his own death, admitting: "I believe Tupac didn't die."

When quizzed if he believes the hip hop legend is still alive Too Short, who's real name is Todd Anthony Shaw, told Vlad TV: "I'm just saying that not every politician did not die of car crashes and some of them got killed. Some of those plane crashes were deliberate.

"So spill s**t over to hip hop – it is a possibility. Believe me, it ain't just open and shut.

He isn't the only person to make this claim either, with Michael Nice, who claimed he was part of Tupac's security team before his death, also claiming to have played a part in faking the rapper's death.

Michael made headlines when he claimed Tupac had been smuggled into Cuba with the help of former President Fidel Castro after the drive by shooting that police said claimed his life.

Worldwide sightings

Fitting in with the theory he had escaped the US, the rapper has been allegedly spotted across the globe, with one of the most convincing sightings said to have came in Cuba almost 20 years ago.

In 2004, a video showed Suge Knight joking with a man that looked strikingly similar to 2Pac.

The clip was a viral hit on YouTube but the back of the man's head can only be seen and it looks as though he doesn't have any tattoos.

A little bit closer to home and the All Eyez on Me star was reportedly seen in New Orleans in 2017.

The man people believe is Tupac was seen sipping on a beer in a bar at the time, while further afield a lookalike has been spotted in East Africa, where some claim he is with founder of Outlawz hip-hop group, Yaki Kadafi.

DVD seller in Glasgow

Perhaps one of the strangest claims sees the star supposedly selling DVDs in a market in Glasgow.

In 2019, a source told the Mirror: "I’ve seen Tupac alive, he’s working in the Barras market in Glasgow selling DVDs!"

'Leaked' celebrity photos

Along with living the life in Scotland or Africa, Tupac is said to have been snapped with a number of big stars over the years.

It was previously claimed by Huzler website that the rapper had been seen outside of a nightclub and posing with pop star Beyoncé.

Meanwhile, rapper 50 Cent has also supposedly been pictured with the late rap legend – but it is unknown where the photo of the pair appearing to pose together originated from.
