EastEnders wedding drama as Rocky's ex drops bombshell - but fans predict twist
Rocky's ex-wife arrived at his wedding on EastEnders tonight and dropped a huge bombshell - but fans are predicting a twist.
Despite the hiccups between them, and Kathy finding out Rocky had gambled away their honeymoon, Kathy - played by Gillian Taylforth - decided to go through with the wedding and headed into the venue.
However, just before she walked in, a much more unwelcome arrival appeared. It was his ex-wife Jo Cotton, who ran into the venue, and immediately came across Rocky where she told him what had happened.
"I'm not too late, am I? You haven't married her?" Jo - played by Vicki - said as she ran in. Rocky was confused to see her there, asking her what made her come by, as he told her: "How many times do I need to tell you, you and me are finished, over, end of."
Jo then dropped a bombshell, telling him: "That's just it, we're not. My solicitor called. There's been some sort of clerical error or something. We're not legally divorced. The divorce was never finalised. I'm serious, I'm still your wife."
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessIt was then she dropped a huge bombshell, telling a stunned Rocky: "If you marry Kathy, you'll be a bigamist."
Fans are now convinced that this wasn't a result of the 'clerical error' and that Jo has a big plan up her sleeve. In previous scenes, Kathy paid her £500 to get Rocky's parrot off her - and she was heard making a phone call about there being even more money around.
"#Eastenders could see that happening a mile off rocky is still legally married or is the last wife stirring the pot that was a smirk on her face when she walked away," one fan wrote, whilst a second added: "I think Jo is jealous and is lying about the divorce? I'm starting to think she's hiding another secret about Rocky. I wonder if he has a secret son/ daughter that Rocky never knew about #EastEnders."
A third shared: "how can jo just drop in like that and her smirk at the end lmaoooo she defo planned this #EastEnders," with a fourth writing: "What!!!!! Jo can’t be serious!! They aren’t legally divorced!! I think Jo is lying. I thought Rocky got the signed paperwork."
When it was announced Vicki was joining the soap, she said: "I’m so excited to be in EastEnders and everyone has been so lovely. Jo Cotton is a great character and it is such a great story. I can’t wait for the audience to meet her."
Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer added: "We’re thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Vicki to the EastEnders family, as she brings to life the character of Jo Cotton. Vicki is the perfect fit to take on the elusive character of Rocky’s wife that we know very little about. Brash, quick-witted, and extremely glamorous, Jo is akin to her long-lost husband, Rocky and as you would expect she is immediately thrown into the heart of the drama when she arrives in Walford."
