Andy Carroll and Billi Mucklow's son Arlo diagnosed with life-changing disease
Andy Carroll and Billi Mucklow's son Arlo, eight, has been diagnosed with a life-changing chronic disease.
The pair, who have three children together, have revealed that their son has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes after weeks of health concerns.
Billi took to her Instagram page to explain to her followers what had been going on the last few weeks.
She and her former footballer husband found out just two weeks ago that Arlo had the disease.
Sharing a collection of photos of Arlo and his time in hospital, Billi wrote: "2 weeks ago we found out that our beautiful boy Arlo has Type 1 Diabetes.

"Symptoms that Arlo had (4T’s) - thirsty - thinner - tired - toilet (constantly needing to wee mostly through the night) We’re lucky we caught it early. He’s just been fitted with @dexcomuk G7 CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) so far it’s a game changer.
"We couldn’t be prouder and love our little boy more he’s been so brave, happy and took it all in his stride. Me And Daddy will do everything we can to make sure your life is everything and more. Nothing will ever hold you back! We’ve got this @diabetesuk."
Andy commented on the post "That’s my boy!!" along with a blue love heart emoji.
Billie, 35, first found fame on Towie and welcomed her first son Arlo with Andy, 34, in June 2015. They also have another son and a daughter.
They announced the birth of her second child Wolf on November 15, 2017. Billi posted a picture of her son's hand in a white baby grow lying on a pale blue little blanket with W9C sewn into it.
She captioned the shot: "Welcome To The World My Little Cub 15-11-17 #W9C #BabyCarroll".
She wrote alongside it: "Wolf Nine Carroll You Have Stole Our Hearts 15-11-17 #BabyBoy#Wolfie #MyLittleChubbyCub".
The nine in Wolf's name represents the number that footballer Andy wore on his shirt at West Ham.
It was then on September 9, 2020 that they had welcomed a third child, a daughter called Marvel. Andy is also dad to Emilie Rose, 14, and Lucas, 13, from a previous relationship.
