Valorant's brand new mode Premier is still technically in a beta, with the Ignition stage marking the final test run before the full thing launches next month.

Valorant update 7.01 launched this week and brought with it the next stage of Valorant Premier which is a brand new competitive mode for Valorant that debuted this year. The mode is a gateway the Valorant Champion Tour’s Challenger leagues, with in-game leagues that promise to take players from their bedrooms to the top of the competitive scene by advancing through the ranks.

The Valorant Premier Ignition enrolment stage has begun and will run until Thursday, July 20, so if you want to compete in the upcoming Premier season you'll need to enrol by then. Here's how to enrol into the Valorant Premier Ignition stage before the cutoff next week.

Valorant Premier Ignition times

The Valorant Premier Ignition stage began earlier this week and will run until August 13, 2023. However, there are specific dates for each stage of Premier Ignition, which are as follows:

How to enrol in Valorant Premier Ignition

In order to actually enrol in Valorant Premier Ignition you'll need to make sure a of a few things. Your account must have the following:

  • Account verification via SMS verification
  • Established MMR by completing your ranked placements at any point in your account lifetime
  • An account in good standing is one that is not currently banned. This also applies to accounts facing a Ranked queue restriction if the restriction period coincides with the enrolment or play period.
  • If you have received a Game Ban, Vanguard Intervention, Ranked Restriction or Comms Restriction in the last 30 days you will be ineligible to join a Premier Team.
  • If you have an outstanding Ranked Restriction will be ineligible to queue up for Premier until that restriction is lifted.

You'll be able to verify your phone number in-game by heading to the Valorant Premier hub on the main menu and clicking 'Verify'. A dropdown should then appear with country codes – select the appropriate one and pop in your phone number. You should receive a code over SMS soon after. Head back into the game and pop that code in and you're verified.

How to make a team in Valorant Premier Ignition

If you're the Team Owner, you can invite players through the Valorant Premier Ignition menu. As the leader, you'll be able to customise the team logo and promote other players if you can't be bothered managing it. Thankfully the Team Owner doesn't need to be present in the game to queue into a match. But, whoever is leading the party in that situation is responsible for locking in map choices during tournaments.

You can only join one team per account, but luckily you won't need to worry about players in different ranks, as the the game allows players of any rank to team up together. Your division is based on the MMR of the top five players in your team. However, once you've enrolled your team, you won't be able to invite any players who would change your division unless you un-enrol and enrol again (which will only work until the enrolment period is finished).

Unlike the last stage of the Valorant Premier beta, your team and stats will roll over to the full version of Valorant Premier which is set to begin shortly after this one ends.

Valorant Premier Ignition Zones

The Valorant Premier Ignition matchmaking is made up of Zones. Once you enrol, the game will offer up the two best Zones based on the location of the Team Leader to offer the least amount of latency. The Team Leader will pick the Zone for your team, however if you've picked and aren't happy with it you can also un-enrol and re-enrol back into a different one, as long as it's still within the enrolment period.

And that's everything you need to know about enrolling in Valorant Premier Ignition. Best of luck to you in the upcoming beta stage.
