Nicole Scherzinger reportedly banned for former bandmates from her upcoming wedding, but experts believe she "shouldn't feel obligated" to have them come along.

The former lead singer announced her engagement to Scottish rugby player, Thom Evans in June and even though she rose to fame with the band The Pussycat Dolls, it's reported she isn't inviting any of the girls to her wedding.

Sources revealed that there's still "toxic energy" between Nicole and the Pussycat Dolls and she's aiming to avoid "causing trouble" by inviting some of her former colleagues and not others.

The alleged tension remains fresh between the girls as in 2021, the creator of the group, Robin Antin, sued Nicole for breach of contract. He stated that she refused to participate in a reunion tour if she wasn't paid more than her other band members.

A source told Heat Magazine that there's still "so much bad blood" and inviting her bandmates to her big day would be a "reckless chance" that she's not willing to take.

Hope Flynn is founder of female self empowerment and community FeedMeFemale, has exclusively told us that Nicole's decision shouldn't come as a shock, as banning friends from weddings is nothing new.

"Planning a wedding is stressful and curating a guest list is even harder. For the average person budget and capacity of a venue can cause major limitations to who can and cannot be invited.

"It’s your wedding day and you shouldn’t feel obligated to invite anyone that you don’t want there, it’s your day, your decision, your choices," Hope shared.

"Although the word ban is a bit strong people always ban children from their wedding without it being seen as a big problem. And let’s remember a lot of children tend to be family members so if some children are banned then why should someone have to justify banning some friends.

She added: "It’s hers and her husbands day and the focus should be on them and their nearest and dearest. Its not a day for the focus to be on who is not there. You wouldn’t invite old work colleagues to your wedding if you no longer had a relationship with them so why should she invite her old band members - it’s essentially the same thing."

"Your real closest friends always make the cut. I’m sure who needs to be there will be invited."
