Brad Pitt has been praised for engaging with Martin Brundle at the British Grand Prix over the weekend, after Cara Delevingne was criticised for 'snubbing' the presenter.

Martin, 64, provided coverage of the Formula One (F1) motor race from Silverstone Circuit for Sky Sports on Sunday, which was also attended by a host of celebrities.

Cara, 30, has been criticised for what has been perceived as 'rude' behaviour, with the model having declined the opportunity to be interviewed by Martin on the grid at the event. She however has since shared her side of the story.

Her interaction with Martin has attracted further attention following fellow guest Brad, 59, having been interviewed by the presenter whilst at the Grand Prix yesterday.

The actor attended the event amid playing an F1 driver in an upcoming film and spoke to Martin about the project.

Brad said: "It's great to be here, man. We're just having such a laugh". He went on to discuss the upcoming film and referenced Martin being a former racing driver himself.

Asked about the project, he said: "I would be a guy who raced in the 90s, in fact, I would have been on the track with you at some point. So you've gotta do a cameo." Martin responded by teasing that he would "love" to appear.

The actor has been praised for engaging with the presenter, particularly in light of Cara's interaction. One person tweeted recently: "This is how you actually do it [Cara]."

Another said: "The difference in respect between Brad and [Cara] is just unreal." A third said: "Awesome interview, nice to see Brad Pitt appreciating the sport and showing his respect to Martin Brundle unlike some of these other so called stars."

"What a great interview - Brad Pitt v cool and genuine (unlike [Cara])," said another. Someone wrote: "To every 'celeb' that takes advantage of their position in order to walk on the grid, this is exactly how you should interact with [Martin] when you visit @F1. What a great watch."

Some people however noted that at the United States Grand Prix last year, Brad himself didn't stop to speak to Martin when he passed through the grid at the event.

Brad had been seen giving brief replies to Martin as he walked past him. One person said: "Brad finding reverse gear after the disrespect for Brundle last year. Love it". Another said: "He's all chat now but it wasn't that a year or two ago".

Cara's interaction with Martin this year has attracted attention on social media. A clip of the exchange saw him approach a representative who suggested she didn't walk to talk.

Martin said: "She doesn't want to talk? But everybody needs to talk on the grid. That's the deal now, everybody talks on the grid." He subsequently approached Cara directly.

The presenter asked the guest: "Can we have a quick chat? Sky F1, good to see you on the grid". Cara appeared to look at the representative before responding: "No".

Martin then added: "Well the deal is everybody has to speak on the grid but y'know". Cara was heard saying she couldn't hear "anything" and apologised. Martin said to viewers: "Well, I'm sure it would have been extremely interesting".

Amid criticism, some people have defended Cara, with one person tweeting: "You can clearly see the PR rep tell him 'no' and shake his head when he goes up towards [her]. He had an out and he chose not to take it to make a statement".

Cara responded: "I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides". When someone suggested it had been her agent guiding her, she replied: "It wasn't an agent. It was an F1 representative".

Some people on social media suggested it was perhaps an Alfa Romeo representative rather than an F1 rep due to their clothing.

It's understood that guests are made aware that they may be approached whilst on the grid but are not required to speak to presenters if they chose not to.
