Boy, 11, dead and two with life-changing injuries after BMW crash with lorry
An 11-year-old boy was killed and two other people seriously injured after a horror car crash involving a BMW and a parked lorry near Stonehenge.
Two air ambulances were scrambled to the collision on the A303 near Amesbury in Wiltshire at around 7.30pm on Saturday night.
The black BMW had veered off the carriageway and hit the rear of a lorry which was parked in a lay-by.
An 11-year-old boy, from London, was declared dead at the scene while the car driver, a man in his 40s, and a 15-year-old male passenger suffered potentially life-changing injuries.
They were taken to Southampton General Hospital.

A/Insp Will Ayres of the Roads Policing Unit said: “This is a tragic incident where a young boy has lost his life and two more people are in a serious condition in hospital.
“Their next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. Our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.
“I would urge anyone who witnessed anything to please get in touch with us.”
The westbound carriageway of the A303 remains closed in the wake of yesterday's accident as police continue their forensic collision investigation. The eastbound carriageway has reopened.
A police spokesman said: ''An 11-year-old boy has died following a serious road traffic collision between a car and a lorry on the A303 near Stonehenge yesterday evening.
''At around 7.30pm, a black BMW travelling westbound from the Countess Roundabout towards Stonehenge was involved in a collision with a lorry which was parked in a layby.
''Sadly, an 11-year-old boy from London was declared dead at the scene.
''The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, and a passenger, a 15-year-old boy, both from London, suffered potentially life-changing injuries and have been taken to Southampton General Hospital. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
