Laura Woods has admitted she has “a couple of offers” after reportedly being lined up by TNT Sports to replace Jake Humphrey as lead presenter.

Woods left her role as presenter of the talkSPORT Sports Breakfast programme at the end of the season. The 35-year-old is a highly-respected and experienced presenter who has worked for Sky Sports and Channel 4 and is now preparing to front ITV's coverage of the Women’s World Cup.

She has been strongly linked with TNT Sports, the rebranded version of BT Sport since a takeover by Warner Brothers Discovery. The broadcaster has parted company with Humphrey, who presented the channel’s Premier League and Champions League coverage for 10 years.

Woods has now responded to the rumours by insisting that she is yet to decide on her future. "I know, I've seen a lot of articles, but I haven't signed anything,” she told The Sun.

"There are a couple of offers, but I've got a glorious month off now where I can sit down and start planning the next things. I don't want to rush into anything, I've never been able to have that privilege in my life before. Never.

"I have always been 100 miles per hour in my career. I used to have this work ethic of taking absolutely everything because I knew that it would teach me something.

"I didn't care what it was, I would do it, and it was brilliant. It definitely got me where I am now. But now, I have earned the right to take a step back and think: 'What is right for me next?'"

It read: "'Woodsy' has formed a brilliant double act with the legendary Ally McCoist, becoming a much-loved member of the talkSPORT family and establishing herself as one of the leading broadcasters in the industry.

"Her warmth, wit and detailed sporting knowledge were crucial to talkSPORT being crowned Best Speech Breakfast Show at the ARIAS in 2021 - the top honour in UK radio - and she has twice been named the SJA Sports Presenter of the Year."

Woods said: “For what feels like a lifetime I’ve been a listener of talkSPORT. For the last six years, it’s been my home, where we get to spend our mornings talking about sport. There’s nothing better. I know I will never find a job like this. It’s unique.

“Three years as the host of this amazing breakfast show, three bits of silverware for the trophy cabinet and record listening figures. I’m very proud of what we achieved here. One thing’s for sure: I will always be part of this family at talkSPORT.”
