Latest Wimbledon 2023 Men's Outright odds
Wimbledon is upon us for another year with two weeks of the most competitive tennis on grass court as the Grand Slam takes place in SW19 with Novak Djokovic the unsurprising favourite to lift the trophy in two weeks time.
The Serbian has picked up seven titles already as well as winning the last four competitions in London. He has already picked up the Australian and French Open titles this calendar year and could complete The Grand Slam collection if he wins at SW19 as well as the US Open in September too.
He was close back in 2021 but missed out on the last hurdle when Russian Daniil Medvedev won in straight sets in New York. Medvedev, 27, is 20/1 to lift his first Grand Slam title since that win two years ago but was full of praise with Djokovic's impressive record in the majors.
The No.3 seed, noted over the weekend: “I think, if I saw it right, Novak has played 70 majors, and 35 he was in the final. I don't know how it is possible. He doesn't have bad days? Actually, he does, like everybody. But even on these bad days, he manages to beat the opponent.”
Despite the huge praise, Djokovic is not letting it get to his head, as per. “I don’t allow myself to call myself the GOAT, it’s disrespectful to all the generations of players that have paved the way for us,” he said.
Novak Djokovic won Australian Open despite playing with major hamstring tearBut could a 24th Grand Slam, equalling Margaret Court’s landmark, give him an unanswerable case? He is, afterall the 8/15 favourite with bookies Betfred to secure an eighth Wimbledon title - equalling Roger Federer's record.
