Dad saved his son's life with CPR after he was born in bedroom 10 weeks early
A father has recalled how he saved his son's life after he was born almost three months early at home.
Bobby Briggs was blue and was not breathing after being born prematurely in Franny and Jemma's house.
Weighing just 3lb 4oz, he only survived after Franny gave him CPR, under the advice of an 999 call operator.
Jemma had gone into unexpected labour on the floor of their en-suite bathroom at the property in Kirkby, Merseyside, despite not being due for 10 weeks.
Speaking today to Liverpool Echo, Franny said: "I'm on the phone to the ambulance operator and she's telling me how to deliver and helped me do CPR until he was breathing again."

Franny Briggs shared his pride today as Bobby, who has just finished his college studies, turned 18 (Geoff Davies)Bobby spent 10 more weeks in hospital, and doctors were concerned he wouldn't pull through.
But he became stronger, was eventually allowed home to join his siblings and then Franny and Jemma made the call handler, Karen Creedy, his godmother.
"For the whole 10 weeks we were in hospital and it was touch and go, we didn't know if we'd ever be bringing him home but he started getting stronger and stronger," Franny said.
"Her name was Karen Creed and she's his Godmother now, she turned up to the hospital with flowers."
Franny has recalled the traumatic time as Bobby has now celebrated his 18th birthday - despite all the odds he wouldn't make it.
And, since scoring some of his school’s highest ever GCSE results two years ago, Bobby has completed his A-Levels and has three provisional places accepted at universities.
His dad added: "He's 18 now and he's absolutely smashed everything.
"We are all so proud of him. We had check ups every six months to make sure he was progressing and he exceeded everything and he's carried on doing so."
