Love Island Australia star Erin Barnett has revealed she can no longer have her own children at the age of 27 after undergoing an hysterectomy.

The reality star has detailed her health struggles and went to hospital for the complicated procedure yesterday.

The social media star is coping with 'post operative pain' and told her fans she has made her peace with not being a biological mother.

Erin took to Instagram to confirmed the surgery is complete, hoping to end years of pain which started when she was just 14.

It took her quite a while to get to this point after a number of doctors refused to operate.

But she posted: "I've said it time and time again. Since I was 14/15 years old I've had issues with my reproductive organs.

"I grew up knowing I'd struggle to have children. As time went on and I had numerous surgeries I was told I would have to do IVF,' she added.

"Four years ago, I looked into freezing my eggs, I was then told I am a high risk patient for IVF due to my POCS and how quickly I grow cysts and how fast they rupture and cause internal bleeding which turns into emergency surgery.'

"I came to accept the fact in this lifetime I won't be a mother. It's obvious that this is the path I was given and I don't see the need to push for something that is clearly not meant for me,' she added.

Erin's cervix was removed and now her recovery begins.

Later updating fans, she wrote: "Feeling sore and I'm so afraid to use my bowels. Everything just feels weird and not right.'

"It's only been 24 hours since I had the surgery so I know this is all normal. But it's very uncomfortable.

Erin revealed last year that she couldn't find a doctors to help her with them all refused to give her a hysterectomy.

"It's not a cure but I would probably be 90 per cent pain-free and today I'm living with about 1000 per cent pain every day,' she told Nine Honey in 2022.

"Sure, I would go into menopause and there are increased risks of having a stroke or heart attack in my 60s.

"But that means I have to live in pain and have constant surgeries for another 30 years. I accept the risks and yet they still won't do it'."

Previously describing her painful symptoms on Instagram, she has kept her followers updated about her struggle.

Saying on social media: "Don't know what's going on! But look at how swollen I am. I'm in agony! I feel like my insides are on fire.

"When you've had 17 surgeries since you were 14, left fallopian tube/ovary removed, two cyst ruptures and diagnosed with endometriosis, adenomyosis and PCOS, then come back and tell me how to live my life.

"You have no idea what this amount of pain, suffering and surgeries will do to you mentally, let alone physically."
