Rock legends Blondie might be great at making music, but they are terrible at keeping secrets as they have accidentally let slip they are to play Glastonbury this summer.

The legendary band, fronted by 77-year-old Debbie Harry, will take to the stage at Worthy Farm in June - having previously played the festival in 1999 and 2014.

The lineup for the 2023 festival is not due to be unveiled until next month, but the Hanging on the Telephone singers have let the cat out of the bag.

Drummer Clem Burke, 68, is the member of the group who has the loose lips and blabbed when he didn’t mean to during a radio interview.

He told Foxy Radio: “We’re also doing Isle of Wight Festival and some other festivals… I guess the full list of artists to be playing Glastonbury hasn’t really been announced yet.

“But we are going to be playing Glastonbury, so maybe you’ve got an exclusive there.”

Blondie aren’t the only band that have slipped up in terms of keeping their involvement at the 2023 festival a secret.

Guns n’ Roses bass guitarist Duff McKagan, 59, also slipped up last month and revealed the rock band will be at the festival.

Sir Elton John is the only star officially announced for the festival this year - with his headline performance on the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday night set to be an historic event.

The 75-year-old’s performance will mark the end of the UK dates of his last-ever world tour - with the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour coming to a final end in Stockholm in July.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Glastonbury had raised an impressive half a million pounds in 48 hours - with the funds to aid those affected by the recent devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

The fundraiser is running until March 8 with music fans encouraged to make donations to be in with a chance to win tickets to the event and even introduce acts on stage.

Event organisers write: “you’ve got another chance. Glastonbury has donated 10 pairs of tickets with once-in-a-lifetime experiences to raise money for the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal.

“Enter our prize draw and you could be watching a set from the Pyramid Stage viewing platform, introducing an act on The Park stage, or enjoying a backstage tour of West Holts - and watching an act from the stage pit.
