Havertz risks wrath of Chelsea fans with Twitter post ahead of Arsenal move
Kai Havertz has posted a picture of himself and Mateo Kovacic on social media with the words "we're ready" as the pair close on Chelsea exits.
The Blues are in the midst of a summer reshuffle and both Havertz and his Croatian team-mate could be set for pastures new. Arsenal are pushing to sign the German playmaker, who has been at the Blues for the past three season, with a £65m deal being agreed between the two parties.
Havertz was signed from Bayer Leverkusen with huge expectation, but he's only delivered in patches and he could now aid Arsenal as they look to build on their impressive campaign. The 24-year-old and Kovacic have been snapped suited and booted with the German putting it on Twitter, but the cryptic caption has left a lot to the imagination.
Last season Havertz scored nine times for the Blues, but it looks as if Mauricio Pochettino could green light his departure. He previously scored the winner in the Champions League final as the west Londoners saw off Manchester City, which remains the highlight of his time at Chelsea.
An influx of new stars however has led to increased competition in the forward line and the versatile star looks set to pursue a new challenge across London at the Emirates. He could compliment a forward line that already includes the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

Havertz, who has played on the wing, as a 10 and as a false 9, will give Mikel Arteta options in attack with skipper Martin Odegaard already commanding his role behind the striker.
Kovacic too could join one of Chelsea's rivals with Manchester City close to agreeing a £30m deal. They have seen Ilkay Gundogan leave and Bernardo Silva could follow him, leaving Pep Guardiola with major holes to fill in midfield, leading him to turn to the Croatian.
Chelsea themselves are in a position where they need to sell to remain on par with FFP. Pochettino will want to bring in his own places, which means the Blues need to raise major funds. Already they've seen Kalidou Koulibaly leave with Edouard Mendy poised to join him.
Havertz and Kovacic could raise £100m between them, which would allow Pochettino to address problem areas. It is reported that the Argentine could eye a new goalkeeper, defensive reinforcements are needed whilst a prolific striker could also be added.
