Britney spotted at the airport amid rumours of a special Glastonbury cameo
Britney Spears has fuelled further rumours she is set to play at Glastonbury Festival later today after being spotted at an airport.
The Baby One More Time singer was snapped with husband Sam Asghari at an airport in Mexico over the weekend, suggesting she could be flying over to the UK.
Eagle-eyed fans said they had spotted the pop star land in Bristol airport ahead of her speculated Sunday performance.
While Facebook fans claimed to have got a glimpse of the superstar close to the Glastonbury Festival site.
It is thought she is one of the big name stars set to join Sir Elton John on stage as he closes the festival on Sunday night.
Harry Cobden says winning Cheltenham ride on Il Ridoto did not deserve banBritney collaborated with Elton on their track Hold Me Closer (Tiny Dancer) last year, which reached number 1 in the US and number 3 in the UK.
And she caused an internet meltdown on Saturday when she posted a McDonald’s meal print from online art community Notre Arte - with three British flags in the caption.
Earlier on in the week Elton’s husband, David Furnish, revealed the 76-year-old music legend would be joined by a star-studded line-up when he takes to the Pyramid Stage at 9pm.
Ahead of what should be one of the most iconic sets Glastonbury has ever seen, David told there would be “four collaborators of his [Elton’s ] choosing”.
“People he just thought, ‘I’d really like to do something with these artists at Glastonbury’. And that’s I’m going to say,” he teased.
A tweet from Secret Glasto, which posts details of secret line-ups, said: “Around half an hour to wait at Woodsies before we find out what the ‘CMAT BRITNEY SPEARS’ stickers which have been appearing in the long drops mean.”
But we are still waiting for news on whether it is confirmed, as Britney and Elton’s teams are remaining tight-lipped on who his special guests will be.
Britney and Elton teamed up together last year to collaborate on a remix of the 76-year-old's classic 1971 tune Tiny Dancer.
The pop princess' cameo on the track Hold Me Closer was the star's first single since the end of her controversial 13-year conservatorship, which was terminated by a judge in November 2021.
In another tweet, @secretglasto teased: “As per David Furnish’s interview with Sky News, we understand Elton John intends to bring out 4 guests.

Other big names rumoured to be in his set include Harry Styles, , Sam Fender, Olly Alexander, Eminem, Lewis Capaldi, Lady Gaga, Dolly Parton and even Kate Bush.
It is claimed Hollywood star Taron Egerton, who played Elton in his 2019 Rocketman biopic, will also take to the stage for a special appearance.
