Royal Ascot 2023 full racing results from Day 3 including Gold Cup
Frankie Detorri won the Gold Cup for the ninth time on Day Three of Royal Ascot.
Dettori picked up his first winner of the meeting on Wednesday on board Gregory. On Thursday he rode Courage Mon Ami to a surprise win in the week's most prestigious race, securing a stunning victory from well far back in the field.
The Norfolk Stakes (2.30pm) and the Ribblesdale Stakes (3.40pm) were the day's Group 2 races that accompanied the Gold Cup on what was Ladies Day. The Norfolk was the day's opening race, with the action going on well into the evening before closing with the Buckingham Palace Stakes (6.10pm).
