Katie Price has hit back at critics who have said she shouldn’t be allowed to own animals, claiming she has been visited by the RSPCA and had passed their inspection.

It comes after her pet dog, Blade, was killed after being hit by a car on a road close by to her home.

A petition to prevent the former glamour model from owning animals has reached over 35,000 signatures on change.com, after seven of her pets died over the past six years, including five dogs, a horse and a chameleon. .

Taking to Instagram live, Katie hit out at her critics, saying she was going to “prove them wrong”.

As she walked into her kitchen, she called her dogs Batman and Colin to greet them.

“Hello babies,” she could be heard saying as she greeted them.

She added: “Batman looks like my dog that got killed last week, I miss him really bad he got killed by someone we’re investigating at the moment. He’s a miniature version of Blade. There’s Colin, fat Colin, there’s Captain and there’s arrogant Buddy,” as she showed off the dogs.

Later in the clip, she hit out at a critic who said she shouldn’t be allowed to own animals.

She fumed: “Who said I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why I shouldn’t have animals? Tell me why? I’m going to prove you f**kers wrong who say and believe everything.”

Katie then added: “It’s like my driving license someone says I shouldn’t drive for medical reasons, someone from the public said it and I proved them wrong. I had the RSPCA out and they ticked every box to say my animals are healthy – they ticked every box. I can’t be bothered to go on the top floor… or shall I just to prove a point? Or is it over here? Let me have a look,” she said as she looked through the paperwork.

“I’m going to prove to you lot the RSPCA have been here, done an inspection and I passed everything.”

She then continued searching through the paperwork before changing the subject.

After Blade had died, Katie wrote online: “Words can't express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today.

“I have no words to say how I'm feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.”
