Murdered MP Jo Cox's husband to remarry seven years after her brutal killing
The widower of murdered MP Jo Cox is to marry again — seven years after she was killed in her constituency.
Brendan Cox is set to wed Anna Ryder, to whom he was introduced through a mutual friend two years ago.
Anna, 37, is director of Killed Women, a network which campaigns on behalf of the relatives of victims of fatal domestic violence.
Brendan, 44, said: "We are both very much looking forward to celebrating with our families."
The couple are planning a woodland ceremony in Herefordshire, according to reports.
Tory MP says she wears a stab vest to meetings with her constituentsAppearing on Lorraine, he said: "Before Jo died a friend of ours sadly lost their husband and we spoke about what we would do if either of us died."
Smiling, he added: "I remember Jo saying she'd get married the next week.
"I always knew she would want [me to remarry] but I never thought it would happen because when you lose someone like Jo, you can't imagine [meeting someone that amazing again].
"I'm incredibly lucky."
A source said: "They are very happy together. It’s lovely news for the family."
MP Jo Cox, who represented Labour for Batley and Spen, was shot and killed during a constituency surgery in a library in Birstall, West Yorkshire, on June 16, 2016.
Tributes poured in for the mother of two, who was just 41.
Thomas Mair, a far-right extremist, was jailed for life for the killing later that year.
Since the tragedy, Brendan, who met Jo when they both worked for Oxfam, has dedicated himself to raising their kids Cuillin, 12, and Lejla, ten, and fighting extremism.
The father of two, who was an adviser on international development to Gordon Brown during Brown's tenure, co-founded the Together Coalition, to promote closer community cohesion.

"It was with their encouragement that Brendan and Anna wanted to take this step. They are very excited for the wedding."
