The Voice star's two-year-old son rushed to hospital after dog attack
Morgan Wallen's son had to be rushed to hospital after suffering a bit to the face by a dog.
The two year old was immediately taken to the emergency room following the incident over the weekend.
Morgan, who appeared on season six of The Voice USA, shares young Indigo with his ex-fiancee KT Smith, who revealed the horror moments in a social media post.
She confirmed their son had to have several stitches to the facial wound. In a series of emotional uploads on Instagram, KT described the scary ordeal, which involved KT's own pet.
She started: "Yesterday, he bit Indigo in the face and [Indigo] had to have stitches … we spent yesterday morning at the emergency room."
Girl, 4, mauled to death in dog attack pictured as neighbours hear mum's screamsThe social media influencer had adopted the Great Pyrenees canine last year and called him Legend.
A tearful KT told her fans she was not prepared to let her dog go following the attack and asked her followers for advice and suggestions.
She continued: "Since then, we have been looking for options and I just couldn’t bring myself to what everyone else says and what you’re supposed to do, apparently … what the world tells you to do is to put the dog down because they are aggressive.
KT claimed that Legend had previously dealt with traumatic situations and believes this could have been partially to blame for the dog's latest actions.
She refused to take the animal to a kill shelter and said all other shelters had no space for her pet.
Reaching out to her followers for help, she later confirmed she had been able to re-home Legend with another loving family.
In an update, she said: "We just dropped legend off with the sweetest family where he will be living out his full potential and best life on a farm.
"I couldn't have asked for a better family for him to be loved on by, and they're East Tennesseans, so we can visit any time we need to."
KT went on to share a number of abusive posts she'd received following her decision to re-home the animal.
Her ex is yet to publicly comment on the incident.
