Arsenal will begin their 2023-24 Premier League campaign with a home match against Nottingham Forest, as Mikel Arteta's side attempts to mount another title push.

It will be an opportunity for the Gunners to lay some ghosts to rest, after defeat away to Steve Cooper's team last season saw them surrender the league title to Manchester City. As was the case last season, Arteta's team have a relatively welcoming start, with Manchester United their only 'big six' opponents in the first five games.

The run-in carries some potential banana-skins, though. Arsenal have a North London Derby away at Tottenham in late April - something which tripped them up as they missed out on a top four finish in 2021-22 - while a trip to Manchester United in the penultimate game of the season could have a big impact on the final table.

Many fans will have found themselves rushing to find fixture dates against two particular clubs. The first is Spurs, with a home meeting in late September before the late-season reverse, and the second is reigning champions City.

Pep Guardiola's team are due to take on the Gunners for the first time in October, as part of a tricky-looking four-game run which also includes Spurs and a Chelsea side which may well be reinvigorated under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The first of those games against City will come directly after a Champions League group game, while the reverse is scheduled for the end of March. As is always the case, the current fixture dates are subject to change as certain matches are moved for television.

Arsenal's six post-Champions League games in the first half of the season will see them line up against Spurs, Man City, Sheffield United, Burnley, Wolves and Brighton. All six of those league fixtures will take place at the Emirates Stadium.

The Boxing Day fixture is always one which a lot of fans look out for. Interestingly, this year's game is a direct repeat of the December 2022 clash with West Ham, which saw Arteta's team come from behind to beat David Moyes' men.

Here, Mirror Football looks at Arsenal's full fixture list for the 2023-24 campaign. They will need another fast start if they are to compete for the Premier League title once again.
