Love Island star Kem Cetinay become the all-time record goal scorer in Soccer Aid history by scoring in a 4-2 win for the World XI on Sunday night.

He came off the bench to score the final goal of a thrilling contest for UNICEF at Old Trafford. Usain Bolt opened the scoring before Sex Education star Asa Butterfield equalised and Paul Scholes put England 2-1 ahead in the second half.

Robbie Keane then climbed off the bench to show his quality and score twice to put the World XI - managed by Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino - 3-2 ahead.

The stage was then set for Cetinay, who robbed Sir Mo Farah to streak clear and beat Paddy McGuinness in goal on the break.

Talking points

Mirror Football's Tom Victor has been casting a keen eye over the match - and here are his takeaways from Soccer Aid.

Full-time: England 2-4 World XI

That's it, a fifth straight win in Soccer Aid for the World XI.

They went in 1-0 ahead at half-time, England stormed back to 2-1 before World XI sealed it through two goals from Robbie Keane and one from Soccer Aid legend Kem Cetinay.

SAVE!

Paddy McGuinness comes flying out and takes out Robbie Keane, who could have had a hat-trick.

Five years of hurt

England came into this game having lost four Soccer Aid matches in succession. It looks like it's going to be five years of hurt for them tonight.

Get David Baddiel and Frank Skinner on the case...

GOALLLL!!! England 2-4 World XI

England pour forward and lose the ball through Mo Farah and Kem Cetinay storms up the other end to beat Paddy McGuinness.

He's now the record scorer in Soccer Aid history, passing Clarence Seedorf.

CLOSE!

Nani is not taking any prisoners. He bends narrowly wide after skinning one player.

75 mins

England have 15 minutes to grab an equaliser. They trail 3-2.

SAVE!

Leon Edwards has to react well to keep out a back-header from Chunkz.

GOALLL!!! England 2-3 World XI

Robbie Keane has got out his classic celebration after scoring again.

He gets a loose ball from a corner and puts it past Paddy McGuinness.

68 mins

Good stuff from Leon Edwards, who is out fast to stop Eni Aluko's ball from reaching Tom Grennan.

GOALLLLL!! England 2-2 World XI

Robbie Keane is off the bench and he makes an immediate impact, bending into the top corner via the inside of the post.

Lovely finish from the ex-Republic of Ireland striker.

CHANCE!

Kem Cetinay is in behind but he fluffs his effort. Paddy McGuinness doesn't even need to make a save.

Handball shout

Robbie Keane is convinced that Sir Mo Farah has handballed in the England penalty area. But the referee waves away the protests - and thankfully for England there's no VAR.

Substitutions

Robbie Keane is on for Francesco Totti. Issy Christiansen is also on for Kaylyn Kyle. Usain Bolt is off for Niko.

SAVE!

Paddy McGuinness saves a dink from Francesco Totti. A sentence that only works in Soccer Aid.

Scholes is down

The physio is on for Paul Scholes, who appears to have turned his ankle. He's limping off minutes after scoring England's second goal.

56 mins

Stormzy sums it up nicely: "Leon Edwards is an amazing fighter, but he's a rubbish goalkeeper!"

55 mins

Lee Mack nearly gets an equaliser for the World XI, beating Paddy McGuinness, but his effort is blocked.

GOALLLL!!!! England 2-1 World XI

Paul Scholes!

England are ahead, with former Manchester United midfielder Scholes slotting into the bottom corner from a loose ball.

Have to say that Leon Edwards has not covered himself in glory since coming on to replace Ben Foster at half-time.

SAVE!

Paddy McGuinness keeps out a good effort from Kem Cetinay. Game opening up now!

GOALLLL!!! England 1-1 World XI

Wow what a terrible, terrible goal to concede.

Asa Butterfield - off of Netflix show Sex Education - on the overlap, tries to cross and somehow beats (UFC fighter and goalkeeper) Leon Edwards at the near post.

49 mins

What a block by Sir Mo Farah, who flings himself in the way of a shot from Francesco Totti.

Nani is causing carnage for the World XI though.

48 mins

England now operating with Paul Scholes alongside Jack Wilshere at the base of midfield... but they do have Paddy McGuinness in goal, so it's swings and roundabouts.

Wilshere off target

England line up with Chunkz and Jack Wilshere behind the free-kick.

It might have been better had the former had a go, with Wilshere firing way over the bar.

Second half under way

England have a free-kick right on the edge of the box as Karen Carney is felled by Sam Claflin.

We're back out

The players are back on the pitch and the second half is close...

Tom Grennan is now singing

The football is on hold for now, with England midfielder - and famous singer - Tom Grennan performing at Old Trafford.

He is on stage still wearing his No8 shirt, shorts and socks...
