Dick and Angel Strawbridge hit back at Chateau wind down with huge announcement
Escape to the Chateau 's Dick and Angel Strawbridge have hit back after reports they are winding down their castle business by announcing some huge career news as they plan to "set the record straight"
The couple fronted the popular Channel 4 show since 2015 as they renovated a dilapidated 45-bedroom French chateau into their family home and business.
Yet the pair have now made the shock move to wind down their company, after applying for a 'voluntary strike off' from the register at Companies House.
The application for Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson Limited was signed on May 9 by Dick and Angel, real name Angela.
It comes after Channel 4 told the Mirror they had decided to part ways with Dick and Angel "following a review" after years of working on the hugely successful show together.

Following the business news, the couple have insisted they are not going anywhere as they announced a UK tour.
The pair embark on a mammoth tour of the UK, to share their story with fans, including two dates at the London Palladium.
Announcing the news on their chateau Instagram, the couple said: "It’s been nearly a year in the planning and we simply could not wait to tell you that we are hitting the road for our biggest ever theatre tour!
"Taking our family on the road has been an honour and a complete pleasure. Our first theatre tour in 2020; Dare To Do It, was a complete unknown.
"It was humbling, not only for the number of you that came to see us, but for the stories you told us when we had a chance to have a hug afterwards!"
They added: "In the new Tour, we explore Why & How we dared to do it, delve deep into our classic myth-busting and click-bait segment (always a favourite of ours, as we get to set the record straight!).
"It will be an interactive evening of fun and games, especially now we can have you back on stage!!
"We simply can’t wait, and thankfully this time we'll get to hug after the show during the 'meet and greet’. If you came to our first tour, you’ll know that we hang around until we say hello to everyone, or we are chucked out of the theatre!"
Dick and Angel will travel around the UK with their children as they make stops in Manchester, Edinburgh, Llandudno and two nights at the London Palladium.
Their news following a notice sumbitted to Companies House on May 23, with the business set to be dissolved within two months.

In May, their website stated : "We are currently on a two-year weddings ‘catch-up’, we will reopen enquiries as soon as we can!"
Fans loved their fairytale story as the couple renovated a 19th-century, 45-bedroom Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France.
But a leaked audio clip saw Angel reportedly launch a 'foul mouthed rant' at a producer.
At one point in the clip, Angel says her husband Dick - with whom she shares two children Arthur and Dorothy - talked to people like "s**t," with the producer then responding to say to her: "And I don’t like that either."
Her frustration appeared to grow as she fumed at the unknown person for posting something on social media that had a likeness to her husband Dick Strawbridge.
