FIFA 23 RTTF (Road to the Final) latest leaks and upgrade system details
The RTTF (Road to the Final) promo will be coming to FIFA 23 this week, and some of the players set to feature are already being leaked.
After a two-week-long stint in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, the Future Stars promo will be making way for the RTTF event this week, with EA Sports confirming via a FUT loading screen that the new promo will be released on Friday. Three different card types will be released as part of the promo, a Champions League RTTF, a Europa League RTTF and a Europa Conference League RTTF. Some of these players have been leaked on social media ahead of the release later this week, whilst EA Sports has introduced a new upgrade system for the RTTF cards.

FIFA 23 Road to the Finals (RTTF) upgrade system
EA has introduced a new upgrade system for RTTF in FIFA 23, including skill moves and weak foot upgrades, similar to the 2022 World Cup Path to Glory upgrade system earlier in FIFA 23. All three competitions follow the same upgrade guidelines.
According to @FutSheriff, here's how the upgrades will work for each competition:
- Win 1st knockout game after campaign launch - +1 in-form upgrade
- Quality for Quarter-Finals - +1 in-form upgrade
- Qualify for Semi-Finals - +1 in-form upgrade and three new traits
Qualify for Final - 5-star weak foot upgrade
Win Final - +1 in-form upgrade and 5-star skill moves upgrade
Players will receive upgrades based on their team's performance, so once they are eliminated from the competition, they can no longer receive upgrades. A player does not need to feature in the game in any way to receive the upgrade.
Each RTTF upgrade will occur at the end of each week when the stage of the competition has concluded. Here are the dates that upgrades should be made in-game, according to the leaker.
