BGT fans notice 'fuming' Bruno Tonioli as show favourite misses out on win

Britain's Got Talent fans have noticed Bruno Tonioli's 'fuming' reaction to a show favourite missing out in the final.

Viggo Venn was the one who took home the top prize during tonight's final, aired on ITV1 and ITVX, with his comedic high-vis routine. He finished in first place, ahead of Lillianna Clifton and Cillian O'Connor, who placed second and third respectively.

His win means that the Norwegian comedian will be the one who takes to the stage at the Royal Variety Performance after wowing the viewers at home and the judges - Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell.

However, Bruno couldn't hide his frustration when a show favourite failed to make it to the top three.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed who had bagged a place in the top three and who would be leaving the competition straight away. As they stood with the finalists, they read out each name in turn before revealing their fate.

However, Bruno was left fuming when one of the show's favourite - and his personal favourite - missed out on a place.

As Ant and Dec announced that young opera singer Malakai Bayoh had failed to make it to the top three, the camera panned out to show the whole audience with Bruno standing up in his chair and throwing his hands in the air.

He had backed Malakai, and was very emotional when the little boy performed his track tonight. He wiped his tears away as he said how much the performance had meant to him and what a special song it was to him and all Italians.

It was Bruno's first year on the panel, having joined the show when David Walliams stepped down as a judge.

As the final wrapped, viewers rushed to social media to praise Bruno for his series debut, with one writing: "I think Bruno has been a fantastic addition to the panel, he adds proper passion and energy that the show has needed #BritainsGotTalent."

"He might be a little annoying, but Bruno is low-key a very good judge, much more astute than many people realise #britainsgottalent," a second added, as a third wrote: "Bruno sure has a way with words, he is a great judge #BGT."
