We were stunned new Tu' Clothing Summer Range suit's our four different styles
The Sainsbury's TU Clothing Range has given other supermarkets a run for their money with a huge variety of fashionable pieces.
The 2023 trends we were excited to spot in this year's S/S collection were bold printed, embroidered and bright dresses which will take you through the summer months with ease (and not forgetting what you can wear to multiple occasions).
Here we tried a handful of dresses which suited our very different styles and we have been so pleasantly surprised. The colours, textures, styles we have all tried & tested have been a hit for various summery outings by the team.

'The perfect summer dress does exist!'
UK’s cheapest supermarket is named with up to £26 in savings on a single shopNow, I’m not usually a maxi dress kind of girl, but after twirling around in this stunning blue number for a good five minutes, I’m well and truly converted. Having fallen in love with the colour of it alone when scrolling through the Sainsbury's Tu website, I couldn’t wait to throw this dress on when it arrived - and to say I was impressed with the fit, quality and design of this piece is an understatement.
Being 5ft 3, I often have to get longer dresses altered to fit me, however this dress is the perfect length, and didn’t drag on the floor one bit - even when paired with my flat New Balance trainers. I love how versatile this dress is too, as I can see myself wearing it to a picnic in the park with friends, or dressed up for a summer wedding with a pair of heels.
The fabric is super lightweight and floaty without being sheer or unflattering, and I found the adjustable spaghetti straps and statement bow-back which can be tightened offered me great support and lift, meaning I didn’t even have to wear a bra - for anyone who knows me, know’s that’s a BIG deal. It’s available in sizes 6 to 18, and is just £35 - so not only does it look great, but it’ll keep your bank account happy too.

'A woman stopped me on my Aldi shop to tell me how beautiful she thought I looked'
I struggle usually when it comes to a maxi dress- I hate a frumpy feeling dress.
As soon as I got this dress out of the packaging, I will openly admit I was a little apprehensive that I would like it on. The main thing I would always look out for when purchasing a white dress is that it is not too sheer. The White Broderie Maxi has an insert so I was able to wear it with ease.
When I first put it on for a family day out, I was concerned it was a little tight in the bust, but my partner gave me the all clear it still looked absolutely fine. I ordered a size 10 which is my usual go to size for this style dress, and I love how flowy and light it feels. It is such a comfortable fit for a full day out in the sun.
Mum nabs incredible bargain clothing haul from Sainsbury's - including £4 bagsI chose to pair my dress with a pair of tan sandals and a simple hair up and it felt like such an effortlessly easy dress to dress up or down. I will be tempted to wear it for an evening occasion paired with a strappy heel and clutch bag.
Before heading out with the family, I headed to my local Aldi to get my weekly shop and a lovely woman came over to me, tapped me on the shoulder and said, "I had to tell you, you look so beautiful in that dress, it looks so lovely on you".
I nearly cried happy tears! So if this is anything to go by, the Tu Clothing range is a must for those wanting an eye catching outfit for any occasion over the summer.
You can pick the dress up on the Sainsbury's Tu website here for £50.

'Is it TOPSHOP? Is it Rixo? No, it’s TU at Sainsburys - can you tell? Neither could I.'
I’m not usually one for colour or patterns (ask any of my friends or family), but this dress really appealed to me when I saw it on the TU website.
Now before I even had the chance of wearing it to my parent’s 40th Wedding Anniversary, my housemate had already tried it on, after seeing it hanging in my bedroom. She later showed it to her mum who also fell in-love with the supermarket steal - priced at £35.
Having struggled over the years with finding a dress that actually suits my height and figure, this one actually suited me pretty well.
The only thing I would mention is that it didn’t do much for my waist and made me look slightly larger in areas, but that could be easily sorted by adjusting the bow and maybe having it altered slightly - or sizing down.
I loved how floaty the material was and felt, not to mention a gorgeous length on my 6ft frame.
Perfect for any occasion, this dress is one I might reach for, and wear again.
Even though TU has some hefty competition on the high street with the likes of M&S really pulling out the stops, the brand has created some incredible outfits that you’d expect to pay much more for - just on a supermarket budget. Best of all? There’s no compromise in the quality either.

'Supermarket fashion is so underrated'
Over the weekend, I stepped out in a and I already know I’m going to be wearing it all summer long.
I first noticed the , but when I spotted to , I knew I had to add it to my wardrobe. While they look almost identical, the benefit with a two-piece is that you get three outfits for the price of one.
Altogether, the , but that extra tenner is well worth the investment for the versatility it offers.
Firstly, the as intended, giving the illusion of a dress, however, you can also , with a or a stylish for a completely different look. And you really can’t go wrong with a , either, which can be teamed up with a and light denim jacket - whichever works for your style.
The comes in sizes 6-18 and has a really beautiful shirring at the back with blouson sleeves. In a floral patchwork pattern, it’s made of a lightweight, soft, durable, breathable material, which is super important to me as I hate being too warm in my clothes, but prefer to have my arms covered.
The v-neckline isn’t too revealing either and stays in place all day. And while blue and green isn’t a colour palette I’d typically gravitate towards, the pops of lime are so on trend for 2023, and I loved the shades way more than I thought I would.
The , which means the length is somewhere between midi and maxi, and is designed to ‘embrace your natural waist’.
My weight can fluctuate, so I often opt for elasticated waistbands, however, this one is more structured. That said, it fits like a dream and creates a really feminine silhouette with an elegant side split. You can wear the top tucked in or out of the dress depending on how you’re comfortable, but all together, it makes for a really pretty summer look.
