Britain's Got Talent judges were left stunned as Noddle the Cat's identity was revealed during Thursday night's semi final show, leaving viewers gushing.

The cartoon cat was competing for a spot in this year's final when he decided to shed his persona.

Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Simon Cowell were left jaw dropped when the real Noodle stepped out on stage.

Singing a cover of 'Live and Let Die', Noodle was revealed as last year's finalist Tom Ball.

The singer, 24, came third on the show in 2022 with his impressive vocal talent.

Yet this year he came back under the disguise of noodle and also had a totally different appearance of his own.

When he finished his act, Ant said: "Oh my goodness it is only Tom Ball, runner up from last year."

Dec added: "We should probably explain at this stage, we had no idea who was the voice behind Noodle. The judges had no idea.

"It turns out it was last year's runner up Tom Ball everybody."

As he revealed himself, Amanda couldn't help but gush over him as she exclaimed he had a "sexy glow up".

Viewers at home were also impressed with Tom's new appearance as one said: "Tom ball went from cute to fit I can’t even lie."

"THIS is how you reveal a glow up … so iconic," added another.

"Omg Tom Ball, i was thinking he looked familiar, i wanted him to win last year, he looks and sounds so good," wrote a third.

However some viewers were not impressed at his comeback, thinking he was taking up a spot someone else could have had.

Tom revealed he had appeared on America's Got Talent since his stint on BGT and signed a record deal.

"Great voice but feel if he's already had the opportunity and done well from it surely it would be better to give someone else the chance to have the same success," wrote one viewer.

Another added: "Tom Ball doesn’t need this at all….seems very unfair how this has all panned out."

"Can we make sure we DON'T vote through the already-established artist with the record deal please," echoed someone else.

During his appearance on last year's show, Tom became known for his bushy eyebrows.

"I don’t really want to change how I look," he said at the time.

"I'm happy as I can be in this moment. And I like my eyebrows and my hair. So I'll keep the hair and the eyebrows just come part and parcel. And my family wouldn't let me change."

Tom's rendition of Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst 's Rise Like A Phoenix, got a standing ovation from the judges and led to the public voting him through to the blockbuster final, making him one of the favourites to win.
