Gemma Collins has revealed her pregnancy plans after being 'desperate' to have kids

Gemma Collins has admitted she doesn't think she'll need to use a surrogate as she has the "best doctors going".

The Only Way Is Essex star, 42, says she isn't sure she can see herself having children in the future as it's a "big commitment".

The GC has often spoke about wanting to be a mum and sadly suffered a miscarriage at four and a half months pregnant in 2012.

Gemma has previously shared she felt "desperate" to have a baby with her fiancé Rami Hawash in her documentary Self-Harm & Me.

She was scared she might be an unfit mother and spoke to professionals about self-harm who gave her “the green light”.

"If I’d had kids sooner, I would probably have been crazy, whereas now, I’m Miss Organic, I can just be at Zen with the child.

She also admitted going to mother and toddler groups "never interested" her.

"It’s a big commitment but it’s also very rewarding. But my life will take me where it’s going to take me. It’s taken me this far and as sure as hell it’s not over yet," she told OK! Magazine.

When asked if she would ever use a surrogate, Gemma said she doesn't think she'll need to.

She added: "I’m The GC, honey. I can have the best doctors going. I’ll just ring one up and say, 'Right, come on, get me pregnant!'."

Speaking on her The Gemma Collins Podcast back in 2021, Gemma said she is considering calling her child Blossom after her Japanese blossom tree.

Having spent a lot of time gardening during lockdown, the reality TV star also revealed she may give birth in a forest.

She said: "Me and Mother Nature are at one, because I'm hoping to get pregnant soon.

"Maybe I should find a place in the forest where I can give birth to my Mother Nature's child.

Gemma also told how she is trying to adopt a health lifestyle in a bid to become a mum.

"I'm on a massive, massive health one. Winter is coming, I want to keep my immunity up, I want to, obviously, try for a baby now.

"It's really important that this is my main focus."

She also explained she was willing to try IVF after struggling to get pregnant, Gemma said: "I really want a baby now.

"I’ve not been using any contraception. I can’t get pregnant so I’m gonna have to be brave now and look into this myself."

Gemma admitted not being able to get pregnant naturally so far had been getting her down: "It feels like sometimes – when’s it gonna happen? Why me?"

Gemma and fiancé Rami first dated between 2011 and 2014. The couple even got engaged on Christmas Day in 2013 but it was later called off.

After years apart, Gemma and Rami reunited in the pandemic and the pair even discussed tying the knot with Rami once and for all.

Yet the couple have sparked split rumours over the past year after she unfollowed her beau on social media.

The star is a step-mum to Rami’s son from a previous relationship.
