Michelle Keegan was spotted in Manchester filming scenes for her latest project, thriller Fool Me Once, which is set to be screened on Netflix.

The actress, 35, was seen walking with the film crew on Thursday, appearing to look downcast.

She was dressed in a Burberry trench coat, with a pair of loose-fit black trousers and a polo shirt with a white collar. She completed her laidback look with a pair of trainers and had pinned her hair into an up-do.

In the new show, which is based on one of Harlan Coben’s books, Michelle will play Maya, a mother who has just returned from war and is suffering from trauma.

Her husband Joe is brutally murdered, but two weeks later, Maya sees her baby daughter playing with him on the baby monitor.

Michelle, who signed a six-figure deal to star in the thriller, will appear alongside Richard Armitage, Adeel Akhtar and Dino Fetscher.

On Michelle’s latest project, a TV source told The Sun: “This is a huge role for Michelle. Harlan's dramas are some of the most streamed on Netflix and people watch around the world.”

With the actress back in her home city of Manchester, she will no doubt have time to enjoy the one thing she loved the most about living in the North of England.

Michelle swapped the city for Essex, the home of her husband, Mark Wright, but admitted that she struggled to adapt to the southern lifestyle.

She also admitted that there's nothing she loves more than chips and gravy.

Despite revealing when she's in Essex she gets "itchy feet" and heads up north and "vice versa," Michelle told Radio Times : "I don't understand why you can't get chips and gravy down south.

"I go for pie and mash but I don't like the liquor, so I get gravy and I'm like 'Why has gravy not taken off here?! It's so much nicer!"
