Inside abandoned home filled with stuffed animals and 'eerie' teddy bear picnic
Pictures have emerged of an "eerie" abandoned UK home in which a teddy bear's picnic is laid out with stuffed animals.
The house appears to have been previously owned by a hoarder and has not sat empty for that long - although there are newspapers dating back to 2004.
Urban explorer Kyle Urbex, from Leeds, wandered around the property and pictured a teddy bear sitting on the bed under a framed picture of brown bears while the house is full of stuffed animals.
It is believed an elderly couple lived at the property in Welshpool and the husband had a passion for animals.
The house shows little deterioration but does appear to have been ransacked by locals as cupboards are left open and there is considerable litter in the living room.
Furious chimp launches bottle at girl filming him leaving her bleeding at zoo"Very little is known about its former owner and history. From what I can gather the occupant was most likely an elderly couple or man with a keen interest in animals in general, not just teddy bears," said Kyle.
"The teddy bears weren't just inside but also scattered about the garden in statue form as well as other animal statues in the garden being slowly reclaimed by nature
"I'd describe the atmosphere as quite an eerie one just solely because the house was very isolated from any sort of real community. It's location isn't one near a housing estate but more of a sole property surrounded by a petrol station and nothing more so that gave an eerie atmosphere.
"It has quite an eerie vibe because it now stood silent and empty and hidden away from the rest of society left to be forgotten about.
"Inside it was quite a mess although it had retained majority of its features, little keepsakes remain on the windows and the cupboards such as the picture of the queen and the little boy ornament on the window ledge upstairs the bed was still partly made with the sole teddy bear sat perched on the bed.
"Downstairs in the main room chairs had been set up indicating that locals had used it for possibly parties or chill spots at some point.
"Outside was very overgrown but indicated a once much loved garden for somebody to be really proud of boasting all the different animal sculptures.
"I love shots like this purely because it reminds me just how easily things can be forgotten about and left behind but still remain frozen in time, I'm not sure just how long the property has been abandoned probably around 2018 but it hasn't seen that much natural decay.
"The fact it's still frozen in time with all the contents left inside as if someone has just walked out and never returned really did give it a personal vibe.
"It's more just trashed from local kids having a look in the draws and scattering about. The garden is overgrown but not massively which makes me think it hasn't sat empty that long.
Scientists plan to ‘de-extinct’ the Dodo and release it back into the wild"I'm glad it's retained the majority of its features internally and externally. People are shocked to see just how properties can be left behind and in a frozen in time state with everything remaining inside. It really is quite sad in a way because somebody's whole life is now just being brought back in picture form left to rot away and decay away.
"The most interesting thing I found at the teddy bear house was probably all the different animal sculptures in the garden which really did show whoever previously occupied the house had a real passion for teddy bears so much so that they even had them venturing out into the garden."
