A woman described the dramatic moment she spotted a 'big cat' chasing an animal in a tree very close to her leafy garden in Dorset.

She said the cat looked very big, but also the way it moved between branches 'didn't feel normal'. Shocked, she managed to grab her camera and record the creature.

She told TikTok Big Cat Conversations: "Suddenly I saw it really high up in the tree, a rather large black cat. The animal sort of stood up and jumped two branches down.

"At that point, I noticed not only how big it was but the movement and the way it jumped from branch to branch just didn't feel normal to me.

"It just felt like I was watching a wildlife programme."

Grabbing her camera, she ran down her garden and started filming, reports Gloucestershire Live.

She said: "The cat literally spotted whatever it was looking for and it ran across the branch there was a large like a nest, it went for that destroyed it, grabbed whatever was in there.

"I saw it climbing down the tree and jump and that was it."

Last week, a man driving home late at night in the Cotswolds says he saw a big car which was as tall as the lights on his Land Rover Freelander.

He spotted the creature for a fleeting moment while he was stopped at traffic lights.

Steve Woodman, from Chipping Campden, was on his way back from work at around 1am on Monday (May 15) when he saw the big black cat.

The 45-year-old, who was once a sceptic, says now he knows big cats are out there because he has seen one for himself.
