Megan Fox is said to have gotten into a "big fight" with her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly, with the actress even taking off her engagement ring.

The 36-year-old sparked split rumours over the Super Bowl weekend as she wiped all traces of her beau from her Instagram account, after sharing a cryptic message about "dishonesty".

The Jennifer's body star then appeared to have completely deactivated her social media account.

A source close to the pair has said Megan is "very upset" following their alleged argument and is refusing to speak to MGK, real name Colson Baker.

They said while the couple have had their fair share of ups and downs, this time it seems serious.

"They haven't officially called off the engagement but Megan took her ring off. They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time," the insider told People.

Megan had planned to go to Kelly's performance at Sports Illustrated party on Saturday but cancelled her plans and flew to Arizona after their fight, according to reports.

A source told US Weekly that “no one could tell anything was wrong” with the rapper during his show.

They added: "He put his all into the performance. He was climbing rafters, hyping up the crowd."

During his set, MGK dedicated Bloody Valentine to "the ladies" and neglected to mention his fiancée. He also decided against singing Twin Flame, which references his relationship with Megan.

The actress, who became engaged to MGK in January last year, deleted all photos of him from her social media profile early Sunday morning.

She also shared a cryptic caption on her most recent photo, which were two lines from Beyonce's 2016 hit Pray You Catch Me, which read: "You can taste the dishonesty/ it's all over your breath."

Pray You Catch Me was the opening track on Beyonce's Lemonade album, with its lyrics hinging on her reacting to allegations that Jay Z had cheated on her.

As fans speculated in the comments about what Megan's Instagram activity could mean, one suggested MGK had cheated on her with their mutual pal, Sophie.

"He probably got with Sophie," the Instagram user wrote.

To which another user replied: "They were flirting big time in the beginning when she first started playing with him."

However, Megan showed she wasn't going to let the speculation slide, as she replied: "Maybe I got with Sophie."
