Arnold Schwarzenegger seemingly suggested that his infidelity scandal was 'tough' on his family in the newly-released trailer for his documentary series on Netflix.

The actor, 75, is set to "tell his own life story" in the upcoming three-part docuseries Arnold, which is scheduled to be released on the streaming platform next month.

A trailer for the project was released today (May 10), with Arnold saying at one point in it: "People will remember my successes and they will also remember those failures".

He goes on to mention his marriage to Maria Shriver, now 67, with whom he has four children. They were married from 1986 until their divorce was finalised in 2021.

Potentially alluding to the cheating scandal that reportedly broke up his marriage, Arnold said: "It was very tough on my marriage, on my relationships with the kids.

He further commented: "I have caused enough pain for my family. I'm going to have to live with it the rest of my life."

He's previously admitted to being unfaithful during the relationship, including having fathered a child, Joseph Baena, now 25, with his family's housekeeper Mildred Baena, now 62.

It's previously been reported that Maria decided to end her marriage to Arnold more than a decade ago following the news that her husband was the father of Joseph.

Arnold is subsequently asked in the trailer why he didn't give up - potentially in reference to his decades-long career - with him responding: "Well, because my vision didn't talk about giving up. My vision was climbing that mountain".

"There is problems and problems [...] but I want to do the things that everyone calls impossible," he stated elsewhere in the trial following references to his political career.

Towards the end of the trailer - which references his bodybuilding, acting and political careers - Arnold says: "You're always hungry. You're never really satisfied".

Netflix released information about Arnold earlier this week, revealing that the former professional bodybuilder and politician will act as "the orator of his own story".

It teased recently: "[He] provides audiences with context and insight into three key chapters of his life: Arnold as an athlete, Arnold as an actor and Arnold as an American."

Netflix announced that the project was directed by Lesley Chilcott and will follow the upcoming release of Arnold's new action series FUBAR, which will be released on May 25.

Arnold premieres on Netflix on June 7.
