Peter Andre and former super model Caprice get very close during a giggly lunch as they held hands and gaze into each other's eyes in Ibiza.

But his doctor wife Emily and the American's husband Ty have nothing to worry about - Pete has explained all is not quite as it seems.

The pair got tongues wagging as they dined al fresco at the lavish Atzaró Agroturismo Hotel on the party island as they shared a bottle of wine.

At one point the doting dad even took her hand as they giggled away together.

Anyone walking past could have confused them for a married couple.

Well they could be, Pete said they were acting out a scene and there was nothing to read into it.

He set the record straight after some people got the wrong end of the stick after making no reference to the trip of social media.

Confirming the truth behind the photos, he wasn't caught red handed - just snapped while shooting the film with an old friend.

Telling Amanda Holdenand Jamie Theakston all about it on Heart Breakfast, the singer said: "You guys do know what that's about, right? Let's have a guess.

"That is actually a scene from a film, for Hallmark in America. The whole scene is quite good. I'm playing a nice little Spanish man called Carlos.

"You're going to see me as Carlos, am I doing the accent well? She's an old friend, I saw the picture this morning."

"Obviously Emily knew about this film from ages ago," he later clarified.

After hosts Amanda and Jamie teased him, Peter went on to add: "So, unfortunately, it's nothing amazing and wow."

Caprice owns a gigantic 100-acre farm and home on the island which she shares with her long-term partner Ty Comfort, and their two sons.

Acting or not, the pair have clearly buried the hatchet after falling out during the pandemic.

Caprice said she felt she knew just as much as health experts did about Covid.

Pete didn't agree and in his new! magazine column, he wrote: "I didn’t see Caprice Bourret’s appearance on Channel 5’s Jeremy Vine programme last week, but I heard that she was slammed by viewers for arguing with a qualified doctor about how to contain the coronavirus.

"She apparently claimed that she knew just as much as the health experts because she’d read reports online.

"If Caprice was intentionally trying to undermine the doctor, then she’s absolutely foolish, because it’s the medical professionals who are being told first hand what is going on. I know who I’d listen to!"

The beef grew - and Caprice hit back online, saying: "I hope you and your family are staying healthy and well. I’m writing in reference to what you wrote about me in Ok magazine. The information is incorrect and I’d like to rectify.

"I challenged the doctor, not because I thought I knew better but because WHO (World Health Organisation) said things that contradicted what the doctor was saying. I had read the statements from WHO in a newspaper. My information was not taken from a random person that worked at the paper.

"It would have been nice if you were a bit more objective and watched the entire conversation between myself and the doctor on the Jeremy Vine Show instead of accessing your sources from a third party."

Pete said: "You may be right and if so I’m sorry. Check your dm so we can discuss."
