The Wrexham celebrations are only just starting to die down, and Ben Foster has revealed what went on in Ryan Reynolds ' box after sealing promotion from the National League.

Last Saturday was a historic moment for Wrexham, as their 15-year stay in the National League came to an end after a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood. Wrexham secured their promotion back to the Football League, and the players celebrated with beer and champagne in the dressing room and out on the field.

Reynolds and co-owner Rob McElhenney were of course there for the occasion, joining in the celebrations with fellow actor Paul Rudd. They invited all of the players up to their box after the initial celebrations, and Foster has explained how the night unfolded.

The dressing room was drenched in beer, and the Wrexham stars were later seen out on the town in the early hours of Sunday morning. But Foster has filled in the gaps on his recent podcast, explaining how Reynolds and McElhenney invited them up to their box at the Racecourse Ground.

"We went over to Rob and Ryan's box, and that was it. 'Crack on' basically," Foster said on the Fozcast. "We stayed in there until about midnight, pure vibes honestly. It was so good. Music playing, but we didn't have a speaker system.

"A few of the lads brought the changing room bass player and connected it to Spotify. So at any moment they were playing some of the dressing room songs or even some of the players songs. Everybody was just singing and it was so good.

"And then at midnight we went for a little walk around Wrexham, went to a few bars and pubs, but it was carnage. There was players everywhere, fans everywhere, but nobody cared."

It was the greatest achievement yet under the ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, after purchasing the club back in 2021. Wrexham are now back in the Football League after being relegated in 2008, but the Hollywood owners aren't done there.

Reynolds and McElhenney would love to push Wrexham as high up the football pyramid as possible, and with their deep pockets and newly acquired global exposure, there's no reason why they can't cannon up the divisions. Foster only signed on an emergency short-term contract until the end of the season, but the former Manchester United star could be tempted into doing another year with the Welsh side.
