'People say I look like my teen daughter's sister despite 16-year age gap'
A mum has told of how she and her daughter constantly get mistaken as sisters despite their 16-year age gap.
Age-defying mum Abi Donald, 31, and teen daughter, T'mia, 15, from Abertillery, Wales, not only look similar in age, but the pair have an extremely tight bond.
Still being asked for ID in shops, support worker Abi doesn't class herself as a regular mum, but a cool mum instead, and T'mia is always nicking her mum's shoes too.
She explains: "I had T'mia when I was 16 so I was a young mum anyway, but now we're really close.

"I wish I could wear her clothes she has a lovely figure, but she nicks my shoes all the time.
"It's great when I go out shopping and still get ID'd."
The glamorous mum is flattered when people think her daughter is her sister, and she even gets comments from professionals like doctors and teachers.
Regularly looking after herself and her appearance by getting Botox, Abi puts her youthful glow down to her skincare regime and looks after herself from a young age, something her daughter has started doing too.
Abi adds: "I get Botox. I also use Estee Lauder moisturiser. I have always looked after myself, but now I pay double the price as T'mia uses it too.

"I think sometimes she would rather stay in with me than go out.
"It's a compliment more than anything, and we're kind of used to it now. I think others can see what a close bond we have.
"We just laugh and say how people always think it. They are still shocked to find out I'm her mum.
"Even her friends say we're so alike. Although that does mean we clash a lot more, but I think it's because we're that similar."

Having T'mia so young, Abi has raised her as a single mum as well as her other two younger children, but it wasn't always easy.

The 'cool' mum always hosts for her daughter's friends (@ABIDONALD0 / CATERS NEWS)She explains: "Being a young mum was tough, I did it all by myself so I think that's why we're so close now as she doesn't have a dad. We've all got an amazing bond - it's us against the world.
"Now most of her friend's mums are in their 50s and I'm 31.
"Her friends always say to her 'your mum is so young' and they're all always at my house. I've always got a full house.
"I would say we are more like best friends. Our bond is mostly through singing together, and she has now started to like clubland music, which then takes me back to my youth.
"We go to concerts together. We went to see N-Dubz, as she was brought up listening to that type of music and now loves to enjoy it with me."
