Paul Rudd chants and drinks beer with Wrexham FC fans ahead of football win

Paul Rudd arrived in Wales to see the Welsh football club, owned by his A-list pals, make it to the Football league for the first time in 15 years.

The football club, which is owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has been promoted in the league for the first time in a decade and a half - and fans are overjoyed.

Wrexham FC were cheered on by 10,000 fans, including celebrity guest Paul, who watched on in awe as his pals' team won 3-1 against Boreham Wood.

The American actor, 54, who is known for starring in Ant-Man and Clueless, was seen drinking a beer at the Turf Hotel Pub in north Wales before the game on Saturday night (April 22).

Reports also say that the New Jersey-born actor even joined in with chanting with the locals.

Sky News reports that Paul was "super nice" to fans and football supporters, after Paul Novelli, who travelled from the US to Wrexham for the game, took a selfie with the actor.

Novelli, told the outlet that he simply rocked up to the Hollywood star, said "hi" and asked to take a photo with him.

When the supporter asked the actor if he was enjoying himself and having a good time, he is said to have replied with: "Amazing."

Fan, Novelli, who runs podcast called Up The Town, which is dedicated to Wrexham FC, even gave an insight into the chants the actor joined in with.

The outlet reports that some of the chants included Super Paul Mullin and Allez Allez Allez.

Novelli wasn't the only fan that Paul posed for a selfie with. In fact, he posed with countless locals and football fans while soaking up the atmosphere in the Welsh pub.

Fans of the actor have flocked to Twitter, with many sharing the selfies they took and writing captions that thank the star for taking time out of his day.

One fan shared a selfie and penned: "Normal day in Wrexham please..."

While another added: "Thanks for the pic Paul Rudd."

Meanwhile, other social media users reacted to the Hollywood star mingling with the locals.

"Loving the pictures of Paul Rudd having a pint with the Wrexham fans. Just because you are a so called superstar it doesn’t make you too good to share the craic with the 'little people'. Many could learn from this," penned one person on Twitter.
