Frank Ocean headlined Coachella in what was his first live performance since 2017, but his fans were left disappointed after his set was pulled from the festival's livestream.

The singer-songwriter took to the stage on Sunday after being delayed for an hour, but those hoping to watch from home were out of luck.

Taking to Twitter to announce the change in schedule, YouTube wrote: "Frank Ocean is not scheduled to appear on the Coachella livestream. The current schedule is in the description."

Fans were devastated by the announcement, with one person questioning: "How do you dislike a tweet?"

Another urged: "Make this the most disliked tweet of all time," while a third tweeted: "This is the worst day of my life."

Other fans begged for those attending the festival to "Facetime us in", with some hoping it was a late April Fools Day joke.

During his headline set, Frank hinted to fans that a new album is on the way but he said it wouldn't be ready any time soon.

"I wanna talk about why we're here today. It's not because of a new album.

"Not that there's not a new album but that's not right now," the 35-year-old told the crowd.

Frank also spoke about how his life has "changed so much" in the last couple of years and said he had missed his fans.

The musician paid tribute to his brother Ryan Breaux who died in 2020 at the age of 18 after being involved in a tragic car accident.

Frank said one of his "favourite memories" was being at Coachella with his brother and "dancing in that tent".

"I know he would have been really excited to be here with all of us and I want to say thank you for the support and the ears and the love after all this time," he said during his performance.
