Jerry Hall 'banned from tipping off' Succession writers in Rupert Murdoch split
Jerry Hall was "banned" from suggesting storylines to the writers of hit HBO series Succession as part of her divorce settlement from media magnate Rupert Murdoch, it has been claimed.
Jerry, 66, and Rupert, 92, dissolved their marriage in 2022 after six years together, with the model apparently “blindsided” by the decision.
After learning he planned to divorce her, Jerry reportedly hired a former Met Police anti-terrorism officer to serve Murdoch papers at RAF Brize Norton days later, after he attended his granddaughter's wedding nearby.
The end of the couple’s marriage is the 91-year-old’s fourth to be dissolved.
It was Hall’s first marriage after previously being in a long-term relationship with Rolling Stones rocker Mick Jagger.
Together she and the singer share four children, however, the two never wed during their 22-year relationship.
Rupert Murdoch has reportedly banned Jerry Hall from giving story ideas to the writers of SuccessionAccording to Variety, the mum-of-four received an email from her husband as she waited for him to meet her at their home in England.
It reportedly read: “Jerry, sadly I’ve decided to call an end to our marriage.
“We have certainly had some good times, but I have much to do…My New York lawyer will be contacting yours immediately.”

Jerry filed for an official divorce on July 1, 2022, citing irreconcilable differences before their divorce was finally issued in August of the same year.
Speaking to Variety, a source close to Hall claims that one of the many terms of the former couple’s divorce settlement is that she is not allowed to give story ideas to the writers on Succession.

It has long been rumoured to be based on Murdoch and his family, although showrunner Jesse Armstrong has never confirmed this and instead claims that it is inspired by multiple real-life families.
He said: “We thought of famous media families like the Hearsts, to modern-day Redstone, John Malone, Robert Fitz of Comcast, Murdoch, and Robert and Rebekah Mercer, who founded Breitbart. Lots of real-life moguls.”
Earlier this year, Rupert announced he was engaged to be married, again, less than a year after he and Jerry split.

He reportedly called off the engagement just two weeks later.
Rupert, 92, opened up about the news admitting the he was quite nervous about getting down on one knee for the fifth time but had "personally selected" the stunning ring.
Melbourne-born Murdoch, who is estimated to be worth around $17 billion USD decided on an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire ring for Ann Lesley Smith.

Speaking about their romance, he explained that he had "dreaded falling in love" but was adamant this would be his "last" relationship.
Rupert has previously been married to Patricia Booker, journalist Anna Maria Torv and entrepreneur Wendi Deng.
He has six children, Prudence MacLeod with his first wife Patricia, sons Lachlan, James and daughter Elisabeth with Anna Maria as well as daughters Grace and Chloe with his third wife Wendi.
