Desperate woman 'prised open' mouths of two Bull Terriers as they savaged pet
A woman says she had to prise open the mouths of two Bull Terriers as they savaged her beloved pet dog during a walk.
Susan Jack was out walking little Cockapoo Flora in Glasgow, Scotland, when a passing dog grabbed hold of her ear.
Flora screamed in agony as Susan attempted to wrench the attacker away, while she says its owner told her to "calm down, love" and just stood there.
She said she feared her dog would die.
Following the incident on Saturday around 11am, Susan took Flora to a vet - and says she can't understand why such dogs aren't forced to wear a muzzle while out and about.

She said she is more "wary" now about taking one-year-old Flora out for a walk, adding that aggressive dogs are not born that way, just badly trained.
Flora suffered painful injuries and needed to go to the vet (Daily Record)Susan told Glasgow Live: "I was just taking her home after we'd been out for a walk.
"We turned onto Dumbarton Road and I'd seen these two dogs before with their owner. As we walked past them the dog lunged and went for Flora's ear.
"It had her ear in its big jaws. I then went down on the ground to try prise the dogs mouth open and Flora was yelping away.
"The owner stood there and wasn't really doing anything. Twice he told me to 'calm down love' whilst doing nothing to resolve the situation. At one point the dog released her but I can't remember if it was the same dog or the other one which got her again.
"It was just awful. I remember thinking that she was going to die."
She added: "Eventually I got her free and took her along to the vet on Hyndland Street. I can't understand why if you have dogs like that you wouldn't muzzle them to keep everyone safer.
"I saw a woman giving the owner a right telling off. Someone told me there were people hanging out the window because of the noise of it all."
The owner went on to say: "I've noticed I am quite wary when walking Flora now. Which is a shame because these dogs aren't necessarily aggressive. It is all about how they're trained and treated by their owner.
"It was just awful. I was very grateful for the support I got from people that witnessed the attack."

The incident has not been reported to police.
