Betty White’s home of 50 years demolished with 'huge' new property in the works
The beloved home of iconic actress Betty White has been left as rubble after the property's new owners opted to make a brand new living space.
The Brentwood property was home to the late star for almost 50 years prior to her death in December 2021 at the age of 99.
But now, there is nothing but dirt, dust and rubble and the beginnings of a new home on show - a far stretch from the modest property that the plot once boasted.
Construction crews have been hard at work to clear the site and create a new canvass for architects to play with.
It's reported that a dentist and his wife bought the plot from Betty's estate following her passing and began the bull dozing work back in November of last year.

In February of this year, TMZ reported the couple had filed more paperwork to signal their intent to put a new swimming pool and spa at the property.
The reports suggest the new property is set to be a whole lot bigger than the place Betty once called home.

Despite her career in Hollywood getting into full swing shortly after that, she opted to stay put and the house became a staple part of the celeb sight-seeing tours which flood the town.
It's thought the property was eventually sold for in the region of $10million, but remains to be seen exactly how much extra is now being spent to revamp it to an entirely new specification.
Betty's death was confirmed by her agent Jeff Witjas, who released an emotional statement at the time, which read: "Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever.
"I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much. I don't think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again."
The much-loved star had the longest running career in TV as a female, with a number of screen credits to her name during her career of almost nine decades.
In 2015, she was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award and said that she felt "privileged" to still be working as she accepted the prize.
