Julia Bradbury proudly shows mastectomy scar 16 months after surgery
Julia Bradbury has proudly shown her mastectomy scar around 16 months after having the procedure.
The TV presenter, 52 - who's best known for fronting shows like Countryfile and Watchdog - announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021.
Shortly after sharing the news, she had her left breast removed as well as a six centimetre tumour. The mother-of-three documented the experience for an ITV documentary.
She has continued to share updates with fans on her journey, including her showing the mastectomy scar in a recent post and discussing her attitude towards it.
Julia took to Instagram yesterday to share an update with her followers, in which she shared a photo of the scar underneath her breast and wrote "healing" near it.

The caption also included a couple of lines from the poem Owning Our Scars by Teryn O'Brien. One of the lines read: "The choice we have is to wear our scars proudly".
Julia has been met with well-wishes over the post, with some of her followers on the platform having taken to the comments section to express support and gratitude.
"Thank you so much Julia, you [have] certainly helped me with your positivity and determination. You have a beautiful scar as do I," wrote one person in response to the post.

A fourth person said: "Sharing is so important and helps us. Wishing you the best of health". Whilst another follower wrote: "I've never heard this poem but such true words".
Another follower supported Julia's post and encouraged others to "wear your scars with pride". Another person described the presenter as "inspiring" in the comments.
Sharing her approach, Julia wrote in the comments section: "I try and think that every thing I see is a reminder [that] I'm still here. Changed, scarred but here and grateful".
And responding to a follower who thanked Julia for sharing updates throughout her journey, the presenter said: "I'll keep sharing what I learn along the way".
