Sue Radford shared an emotional update on the 'nightmare' car accident she was involved in.

Earlier this week, the mum of Britain's biggest family said she was involved in a car crash that left her family vehicle mangled.

The mum, who is a parent to 22 children, confirmed that no one was injured in the road accident.

On Wednesday night, the 47-year-old took to her Instagram Stories to provide an update on the "stressful" situation.

"Day two of trying to sort the car insurance," she wrote on social media.

"Why is it so stressful? We’re waiting for them to take my car to a specialist centre to have it fixed.

"But trying to get the hire car sorted is a nightmare.

"My car is undrivable because the rear wheel is facing inwards so not safe to drive and has taken the full force of the impact.

"Just hoping it’s not damaged underneath."

She continued: "Having said that it just goes to show how well built Porsche are as even though he went into my rear bumper at some force that's not too bad.

"I just wish I could have got through to my mum's today but hope tomorrow it should be sorted if not I think I'll have to drive the motorhome around."

She ended up having to drive the motorhome around town but seemed to be in good spirits about it.

On Monday, Sue took to Instagram to share the news of the collision with her 507,000 followers.

Sharing a snap of the street with a police van and a fire engine in the background, Sue confirmed that everyone was safe and said she was "so grateful" no children were in the car.

"Everyone was ok. 'Not how I expected my day to go but thankfully everyone was ok," Sue penned.

''The car isn't but it's only metal and can be sorted,'' the mum-of-22 wrote in the story posted on the family's social media account.

"So thankful I didn't have the kids in the car though. Also thank you to all who stopped to ask if I was ok.''

It comes just days after Sue and her husband Noel issued a statement as they take a break from filming.
