Saturday Night Takeaway won't be on at the usual time tonight.

The hit ITV show, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, will make way as two Six Nations matches will be screened starting with France v Wales at 1.55pm and then Ireland v England at 4.30pm.

It usually starts at 7pm and will be followed by the Jonathan Ross Show and singing show Starstruck.

But tonight the show will air at the later time of 7.15pm and wrap up at 8.45pm.

Telly legends Ant and Dec are expected to host Hollywood actress Toni Collette as this week's guest announcer.

Singalong Live is expected to return alongside another episode of drama Murder at Bigwig Manor.

There will also be a hidden camera stunt starring Joe Wicks titled Get Out of Me Ear, as he leaves a workman at his home nervous by eating a cauliflower while laughing about zombies.

Singer Jake Shears will play out the programme at the end of the show which has been put back to 7.15pm tonight.

Last weekend fans were left in hysterics when Shrek fell over during the ITV show.

The Happiest Minute of the Week segment is always a fan favourite as people are given a once in a lifetime to bag a ticket to Orlando as part of the end of the series show.

The pair were quick to hand out a number of tickets to deserving audience members and some at home as well, as they were joined on stage by Shrek, Puss in Boots and a number of British Airways cabin crew.

However, as they finished their happiest minute and left stage, some fans spotted that the person in the Shrek costume had fallen off stage as they tried to make their exit, followed by Puss in Boots and the other characters.

Fans rushed to social media to check they were ok, as one wrote: "Omg ! Is Shrek ok @antanddec? Poor fella falling over after the happiest minute of the week @itvtakeaway #SaturdayNighttakeaway #isshrekok."

"Is Shrek ok? @antanddec #shrek #placeontheplane #saturdaynighttakeaway," a second added, with a third wrote: " @antanddec We need to know if Shrek is ok after his fall live on Saturday night takeaway @itv #Saturdaynighttakeaway."

Later, Stephen Mulhern confirmed that Shrek was ok as fans rushed to social media to share the clip.

"I am crying at shrek falling off the stage HAHAHAHA #SaturdayNightTakeaway," one penned on Twitter whilst another added on social media: "Shrek missing the step and falling over has creased me #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

A third added: "They’ve reassured that shrek is okay! Thank god! #SaturdayNightTakeaway," whilst a fourth penned: "OMG they actually addressed Shrek falling over. IM DEAD!! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

"Funniest thing seeing Shrek fall off the stage on #SaturdayNightTakeaway," a fifth wrote, whilst a sixth penned: "Shrek falling over is the funniest thing I've seen all week. #SaturdayNightTakeaway."

In other scenes on the ITV show tonight, Nick accepted his stepdaughter Rihanna's offer to adopt her after being her father figure all her life following her father's passing. There wasn't a dry eye in the house and it was clear how much it meant to Nick, as he cried and said: "It means everything, she’s an absolute diamond. It’s priceless."
