Incredible tale of Bridgerton's 'rags to riches' Pomeranians that steal the show
With all the flair of the Regency period in Netflix's Bridgerton it can be hard to steal the spotlight but some fluffy cast members have won over fans' hearts - and we're not talking about Colin's new beard.
Queen Charlotte's dogs have been a firm fixture since season one with the tiny pomeranians never far from actress Golda Rosheuvel's side.
These furry co-stars are popular with fans but many don't realise they are rescue dogs who became stars. The Mirror caught up with Julian Bennet from Soho Poms at Crufts 2023 to find out all the latest on these beloved royal pets.

"We've got lots going on with all the dogs," said Julian, who shared that four of the Soho Poms were off shooting Bridgerton rather than enjoying the delights of Crufts.

"They're eating lots of food, pooping everywhere, and getting the glamorous feel of what the period was like," joked Julian, "Season one went really, really well - obviously! Then season two and now we're back for season three - they are the famed Bridgerton Poms."
Currently on set enjoying the royal life are Jane, Mini, Polly and Spy who will make up the Queen's growing collection of pomeranians, however, it's not always these four who get to show off their acting chops.
Julian said: "We swap them out because we've got quite a few that look the same and unfortunately dogs, like children, only work certain hours."
The pups weren't always destined for fame and had been rescued by Natalie Knauf, who own Soho Poms. Julian shared: "They came from a puppy breeder who just couldn't get rid of them.
"They were so adorable so when they first found them, Natalie and Philip chose 11 of them and it took three years to de-worm and de-flea. But now they're out there earning money and everything goes back into the Kennel Club Charitable Trust."
Meal times with 11 dogs isn't easy either with docile Emily becoming a little territorial over her food turning into "a beast", trying to "store it and tuck it under something".
Bridgerton isn't the only big break for the dogs either with Polly, the stark white pooch, also starring as the face of recruitment company Reed.
Alpha Jane was in horror short film Eric last year starring as titular Eric, a "psycho dog", alongside Jemma Moore from 2020's lockdown thriller Host.
"They're great fun at the end of the day," added Julian, "They're out there working hard."
