Home & Away's Sam Frost announces birth of son and unveils traditional name

Home and Away star Sam Frost has announced she's given birth to a beautiful baby boy.

Sam, 33, who played Jasmine Delaney, revealed to her Instagram followers she and fiance Jordie Hansen welcomed their son on Tuesday, naming him Ted.

The actress posted a beautiful black and white picture of her son resting on her chest wearing a tiny hat, with Sam looking lovingly on.

She wrote in the caption: "This is Ted [love heart emoji]. Theodore Paul Frost-Hansen. There’s no words to describe how much we love you... 07/03/2023."

Former co-stars of Sam's were quick to offer their congratulations.

Georgie Parker, who plays Roo Stewart, commented: "Hello Ted, beautiful boy."

Ada Nicodemou, who portrays Leah Patterson, wrote: "He’s just perfect. Congratulations."

The actress announced her pregnancy with Jordie in September, delighting fans.

Since then, the star has been providing updates on her journey.

During her third trimester in December, she revealed she "wees herself all the time."

Taking to Instagram, she she admitted to followers she spoke about exercise in pregnancy.

"I've been for walks and done water aerobics with the grannies down at the pool, but I was talking to Liz from Empowered Motherhood," she said.

"Basically just venting about how my pelvic floor has gone to s**t and I wee myself all the time and I'm struggling with motivation."

She then promoted an exercise app that helped her stay active and said it helped her maintain a routine of 'physio-led exercise.

Meanwhile, Sam and Jordie got engaged in May, with the duo sharing the news in July.

They revealed they are set to marry after five months of dating during the first-ever episode of their podcast.

He popped the question to The Bachelor Australia winner during a road trip to South Australia back in May.

The engaged couple celebrated their exciting news with a 14-day road trip and shared their joy with their podcast listeners.

At the start of the episode bride-to-be Sam says: "It's a very important time of our lives, we just recently got engaged and to celebrate we thought, let's hit the road, let's go on a 14-day road trip."

Jordie went on to describe how he asked the actress to be his wife, saying: "We were at Uluru and we had just had brekky and were about to head back down south.

"Sambo had just been delivered her coffee, and so I said, 'Hey, when would you say yes to getting married?'

Sam interrupted to excitedly say: "I said, 'Pretty much anytime from now'."

Sam played nurse Jasmine on Home & Away in 2017 until 2022. Sam won season 2 of The Bachelor Australia in 2014, and then starred in Australia's first series of The Bachelorette in 2015.
