Avril Lavigne confirms romance with Tyga after Paris Fashion Week party kiss
Avril Lavigne all-but confirmed her new romance with rapper Tyga after the pair shared a kiss at a Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party during Paris Fashion Week.
Avril, 38, and Tyga, 33, looked loved up during the intimate moment which was snapped during the A-List party in the French capital.
Tyga, who is a ex-boyfriend of Kylie Jenner, and the Complicated hitmaker are believed to have been long-time friends but rumours have been circulating over the last few weeks following her split from fiancé Mod Sun.
News of the breakdown of their engagement came just days after Avril and Tyga were seen hugging as they joined friends for dinner at Nobu in Los Angeles.
TMZ sources had stressed that they have had a platonic relationship and have been friends for many years but things have definitely progressed after their smooch on Monday evening.
Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun 'break off engagement' less than a year after proposalThe pair have been pictured regularly together since speculation surrounding their blossoming relationship started last week and it appears as though they were not fazed by the media attention during Paris Fashion Week.
Avril and Tyga stepped out together at the Courrèges show before they arrived at Leonardo DiCaprio's party at Kuku restaurant in a busy week in Paris - the same place where Mod Sun had got down on one knee in March 2022.
At the Mugler x Hunter Schafer Party, Avril rocked a diamond-encrusted black oversized Vetements hoodie coupled with thigh-high black leather boots.
Tyga oozed style as he wore a black t-shirt under a grey denim jacket and matching baggy trousers with thick black boots. He finished his look with a thick silver chain and sunglasses as the new couple held hands as they made way past the other guests, surrounded by plenty of security.
Last week, Mod Sun took to Instagram to describe the pain he is feeling after it was confirmed that he and Avril are no longer an item.
The 35-year-old wrote: "In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken."
His words come as he's currently touring to promote his God Save The Teen album and he went on to thank his fans for their support during this difficult time in his life.
He added: "Being surrounded by love every night on tour has been an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the entire world, thanks for always having my back. See you on stage."
