Matthew McConaughey shares son's brutal surf injuries and calls them 'souvenirs'
Matthew McConaughey 's son appears to have been in a bit of bother while out surfing - and has the marks to prove it.
The Dallas Buyers Club actor took to Instagram to show off his teen son's injuries on the waves, calling them his "souvenirs".
Levi, 14, is seen standing beside his neon green surfboard in the social media snaps. With his back to the camera, the youngster is sporting a number of big white bandages on his sun-kissed skin. He also has a smaller pink plaster in the centre of his back.
There are a number of bruises on show, but actor Matthew, 53, doesn't seem phased by his son's state, simply tagging the photo: "Surf souvenirs."
Fans flocked to the comments section to reply to the post of Levi - who looks very much like his dad.

One user joked: "believe that the correct term is "surfenirs"...," while another said: "We call em natures tattoo brotha. This is awesome."
A third added: "Some of my fondest memories of my youth are the stories that end up with me gettin bumps scrapes and bruises lol, this is rad."
And a fourth shared what they had noticed in the comments: "All the fathers, “That a boy “, all the mothers, “poor baby”!"
Levi is the Oscar winner's oldest child. He also shares Vida, 13, and Livingston, 10, with his wife Camila Alves McConaughey.
Camila was also involved in a scary situation on Thursday as the plane she was travelling in suddenly dropped 4,000ft.
Taking to Instagram, the model, 41, shared the the terrifying moment her jet hit turbulence for 45 minutes, causing a number of passengers injuries.
Alongside the clip, she wrote: "Flight last night, plane dropped almost 4000 feet, 7 people went to the hospital, Everything was flying everywhere."
She described the moment as "CHAOS," saying "the turbulence kept on coming".
Reports suggested the plane had been struck by lightning with one passenger's spouse commenting in a tweet: "People who didn’t have the seat belts fastened got hurt mostly cause it came as surprise without seat belt sign on and lighting hit the plane badly."
