A Place in the Sun viewers slam 'time-wasting' couple's big demands
A Place In The Sun viewers weren't impressed with Thursday's showing of the popular property search show.
Fans of the hit Channel 4 series laid into a "time-wasting" couple's demands during their hunt for a pad on the Greek island of Crete.
And host Jean Johansson didn't escape the firing line either as viewers headed to social media to air their disgruntled thoughts.
The latest edition of the long-running show saw couple Jeanette and Phil search for a place with a budget of £170,000. It appeared to be a risky move from the off with the pair confessing they'd never actually visited the island before, but had heard it was a good place to start a new relaxed life.
However, as they started to reel off their list of demands, alarm bells started going off for viewers at home. The couple mentioned they required their potential new property to be big enough for friends and family to visit, but this request wasn't met with open arms by those at home.
Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel give exciting news as fans beg for returnOne user on Twitter slammed: "I don't get this thing of everyone's family coming over at the same time? F*** that."
Another seemingly agreed, adding: "They want a fr***in palace for all their family."
As the search went on and the couple were shown five potential properties, the couple ended up making a "cheeky" offer as the show closed. However, their attempts were rebuffed and they left empty handed, leaving fans frustrated once more.
Another user complained: "So, they could buy it for £15k under the asking price, but still refused. Complete time wasters."
Taking aim at host Jean, viewers aired their discontent at her pronunciation of the island, with one fan raging: "CRETAN!Not Cretian."
Despite the criticism of their search, the property hunters revealed the reasoning behind their offer to A Place In The Sun What Happened Next?, saying it needed too much work doing to it to be worth the asking price.
Jeanette admitted: "We knew we had booked to come out again a month later so we could re-assess the property, and look at others."
The pair did fly out again after the show and discovered a property much better suited to their needs.
