Authorities across seven countries have rescued three children and arrested 28 people in a Europol-coordinated operation targeting child sexual exploitation.

Led by Norway, the investigation ran from late May to mid-June and involved law enforcement in Canada, Czechia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Through cryptocurrency tracing, investigators also identified two alleged sellers of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities believe the suspects used digital currency to purchase access to dark web forums where videos of child abuse were available for download or streaming. Officers seized more than 460 items during the raids, including electronic devices, crypto wallets, narcotics, and large quantities of doping substances.

According to officials, one suspect allegedly used artificial intelligence to generate illicit material, while some victims were identified as immediate family members of another suspect. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities expect further arrests.
